Official notice is hereby given that in accordance with N.C.G.S. 158-7.1, the Richmond County board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive comment from the public on the proposed conveyance of Richmond County Industrial Property.   All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

Time and location of public hearing:

County Commission Chambers, 105 W. Franklin Street Court Room C, Rockingham, NC on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. or immediately following routine items of business on the Board’s Regular Meeting Agenda

 

Interest to Be Conveyed:

26.25 +/- acres of Industrial Property along 575 Airport Rd.  (land only)

 

Considerations to Be Received by Richmond County:

Continued provision of jobs and new investment, receipt of future Ad Valorem and sales tax revenues and overall enhancement of the local economy.   These considerations have been determined to offset the original per acre value above resulting in a price of $10 to be paid in full at closing

 

Governing Body’s Intention to Approve Conveyance Described Herein:

It is the intent of the Richmond County Board of Commissioners to approve the conveyance described herein.   Final determination will be made after consideration of comments received at the public hearing described above.
