| The State Board of Elections is the state agency charged with overall responsibility for administration of the elections process and campaign finance disclosure in North Carolina. It is the only statutory bi-partisan, quasi-judicial supervisory board in North Carolina State government. The 2010 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd. Early Voting (No Excuse, One Stop, Absentee) begins on Thursday, October 14th at 8:00 am and will end on Saturday, October 30th at 1:00pm. The only location for voting early during this period will be in the Office of the Richmond County Board of Elections at 221 S. Hancock St in Rockingham, NC. This building is located on the eastern side of the Richmond County Courthouse.
The schedule during the Early Voting period will be weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The only weekend voting will be on the closing day of Saturday, Oct. 30th.
