Question: Do I need an appointment to apply for the Pharmacy Program or can I just walk-in?
Answer: Yes you do need an appointment to apply. Make an appointment by calling 910-417-4909.
Question: Are all prescription medicines included in the Pharmacy Program?
Answer: We do not have the funds to buy medicines. We apply to pharmaceutical companies’ patient Assistance programs, so you prescription medicine would have to be on one of those programs.
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer: By applying to patient assistance programs, we get your medicine free. There is no charge for the service.
Question: How do I get refills from the Health Dept. Pharmacy?
Answer: You must call in your refills as with any other pharmacy. The pharmacist only works a few hours a week, so you must call 10 days before you run out of medicine. |
